The Work
In a few short (pandemic) years, Lexis-Olivier Ray has become one of L.A.’s most recognized and impactful young journalists.
His coverage of the George Floyd protests in particular earned him features in outlets like the BBC World News, Variety Magazine, the L.A. Times and ABC Australia, while gaining him thousands of loyal fans. His iconic image of an LAPD cruiser on fire at the corner of Fairfax and Beverly Blvd during the early George Floyd uprisings in L.A., became a defining image of the protests.
As an artist, Ray has participated in several group shows and sold hundreds of photo books and prints independently.
As a filmmaker, Ray is currently in the process of adapting his written work into projects across all mediums.
